It is with immense pride that we make all of our Bespoke Tailoring by hand in the city of Hull.
It is in this unlikeliest of northern cities, where the rarest of the tailoring species can be found; The Bespoke Tailor who makes all of their garments, from start to finish on the premises.
It is our great belief that the person who measures you, should be the person who cuts your suit and oversees every stitch as it is produced.
We are headed by Master Tailor Gillian Long, trained in coatmaking on Savile Row. Under her tutelage are our two coatmaking and cutting apprentices ensuring a strong and steady future for Cock of the Walk.
We cut as near as possible to the West End cut, popularised by Savile Row tailoring houses in London. Updated slightly with a less padded shoulder and a more nipped waist.
As we cut everything by hand in-house, we can accommodate any special request.
Our tailors are a small group of expert coat makers, canvas makers, trouser makers and hand finishers working in the bench tailoring tradition.
Every stitch is placed by our hands at the workshop in Hull, by a highly experienced tailor who has immense passion and love for their craft.
